Saturday, July 16, 2005UPDATE: From a reader: About the story about the medic getting shot - there's video of the event here. [Also available on the page that the link in the post goes to - ed.] It was shot by the insurgents as they waited to get a good shot and hit the medic square in the plate. After he called for reinforcements, he took care of the wounded insurgents. The impressive thing to me about this is that the Marine practiced excellent trigger control by not blindly firing back, but got to his feet and moved for cover. I think it says something about US Soldiers are operating, playing by the rules when their adversaries don't. Yes. I doubt I would have had the self control to treat someone who just shot to kill me. I suspect few of us would. posted by Sydney on 7/16/2005 12:02:00 AM 0 comments 0 Comments: |
