Just When I Thought I was Out, They Pull Me Back In: Well, it's official. I'm a blogging addict. I can't give this up. Not quite two months away from it, and I'm forsaking my family to rejoin the blogging life.

I'm not really forsaking them. They urged me to return. Smothering mothering is not working out well for us. Not only that, without blogging, my rants against the tort system, shotty medical research and reporting, and other topics generally covered by this blog have been falling on my family's ears. Too many times I've gone on and on about things medical, only to be met with absent minded grunts and glazed over eyes. Until finally one day, one of the kids said, "Mom, just blog it." When I announced at the dinner table tonight that I decided to resume blogging, they all cheered.

The internet is wonderful. I can cast my voice over the entire world in search of interested souls instead of relying on those within earshot only. My family's gain, your loss?

  8. Glad to see you back in the saddle. I'd just discovered all the great medical blogs when you bugged out. Even started one myself (can't call it great, yet, but it's medical). I look forward to seeing what you have to say, again.

You give a much needed, little found perspective on medicine.

  11. Welcome back! There is so much nonsense in the world of health care, it is great to have someone cut through all the smoke and helpf us see clearly. Somehow I kept my RSS feed for your blog and it paid off. Thanks

    Well welcome freakin'back!

    You were missed!

It's not addictive, it's theraputic, even if it is 0200 and I'm blogging on my front porch to escape the heat.

    Blog on!
