"I’m Nobody, Who are you?" : This article from the Washington Monthly on memoirs by nobodies reminded me of one of my favorite medical memoirs, Diary of a Medical Nobody , by Kenneth Lane. Dr. Lane recounts practicing in rural England in the 1930’s, when antibiotics were the cutting edge of medicine and the telephone was a helpful but intrusive technological innovation.
