Friday, April 26, 2002"Physicians' groups in New York and South Carolina filed similar lawsuits this year. A federal lawsuit against major health care companies is pending in Florida by 600,000 doctors who claim they are routinely shortchanged on their reimbursement claims under a system that institutionalized underpayments." I think we will see more and more suits like this. Many of the insurance companies are beginning to reimburse physicians at below 50% of their usual charges, and it's just not possible to run an office with those sorts of discounts. posted by Sydney on 4/26/2002 06:41:00 AM 0 comments 0 Comments: |
