MD vs PhD: The Wall Street Journal's Opinion Journal posts the story of the invention of the MRI. Seems two people claim to have invented it: one an MD and the other a PhD. So far, the PhD seems to be getting most of the credit. Neither man comes across as being particularly gracious, but they both seem to have played significant roles in developing the imaging technique.
