Failure of Heart: DB's Medrants had a link to a story about the artificial heart recipient who was profiled by The New York Times last week. His widow is suing the artificial heart company. The New York Times story didn't mention anything about a pending lawsuit, only that during his time in the hospital Mr. Quinn had thought about hiring a lawyer. Both the makers of the artificial heart and the surgeon involved were very open and forthcoming in the story. Usually when a lawsuit is pending, no one says anything. Were they set up, or did the lawyers read the story and chase down a client?
