Thursday, January 16, 2003Dr. Thomas C. Butler was arrested Wednesday on a complaint of giving false information to the FBI. According to U.S. Attorney Dick Baker, Butler said Tuesday that vials containing bacteria obtained from tissue samples from East Africa were missing when "truth in fact, as he well knew, he had destroyed them prior to that." According to the story, Butler is the chief of infectious disease at the medical school and has been working on bubonic plague for 25 years. You would think he'd know better than to pull such a stunt. UPDATE: This is why. Oh, what a tangled web we weave. posted by Sydney on 1/16/2003 08:34:00 AM 0 comments 0 Comments: |
