Tuesday, May 06, 2003A 60-year-old Gainesville woman, whom authorities declined to name, returned to Gainesville in late March after a visit to Beijing. She had a cough, but did not seek medical treatment until after she had coughed near a co-worker, a 47-year-old woman, whom she infected. Both women were hospitalized in early April but have since fully recovered, according to Thomas Belcuore, health director for Alachua County. Neither showed signs of pneumonia and both are therefore still classified as suspect, rather than probable, SARS cases. They remain friends, Belcuore said. Through thick and thin. posted by Sydney on 5/06/2003 08:23:00 AM 0 comments 0 Comments: |
