MedMal Update: Pennsylvania saw a 30% decrease in malpractice cases last year, just by limiting the reach of lawyers:
...the state's high court instituted a rule change that governed venues. It required cases to be filed in the county where the alleged malpractice occurred. Kelchner said attorneys had been going out of their way to file all the cases they could in Philadelphia -- where jury awards were more generous. posted by Sydney on
