Monday, August 16, 2004An increasing number of Canadians is giving the country's health-care system a failing grade, according to an annual "report card" on health care done for the Canadian Medical Association. While the quality of medical care earned a B overall, the proportion of C and F grades jumped to 41 per cent from 33 per cent in a similar poll done for the CMA last year. But their biggest complaint is that the government isn't spending enough: The survey also found Canadians are almost unanimous — 91 per cent — in their belief that Ottawa can afford to spend more money on health care. As well, another 78 per cent of respondents said the provinces can afford to do a better job of funding health care. Don't they realize the money has to come from themselves? posted by Sydney on 8/16/2004 08:21:00 AM 0 comments 0 Comments: |
