I feel your pain about the cost of running a medical practice. I am a medical transcriptionist that has lost 2 physician clients due to retirement. Both of these guys (one was my FMD) retired in their early 50's. They were in solo practices and just couldn't keep up with the rising malpractice etc. So, not only did they have to retire, but I lost 2 clients and the extra cushion of income that they provided my family. I think the new doc's in med school are entering a MUCH different climate than their senior peers. It's sad.
