Preparedness Update: The Administration is putting the final touches on their bird flu/infectious pandemic plans. Interesting tidbit:
A new analysis suggests that instead of giving medicine to first responders and health care workers, as currently planned, it might be wiser to give the drugs to every person with symptoms and others in the same household, said one senior administration official.
That does make more sense than dividing people up into "most worthy of protection" status. It would certainly do more to curtail the spread of the disease. posted by Sydney on
