Winter Wonderland: It was slow coming, but winter is finally here. At lunchtime, the quick trip to the bank took the whole lunch hour. I closed the office an hour early so the staff could get home before the roads became impassible as the patients were cancelling by the end of the day. And still, one of my patients managed to drive himself to the office with gastrointestinal bleeding so severe he could barely stand in the waiting room. He's in the intensive care unit now, thanks to the local EMT's who brave ice, wind, and snow. Just now, a tow truck went by trailing the ambulance after it. Hope they're all OK.
