Friday, April 27, 2007Accident victims would have to seek medical treatment at a hospital emergency room within 72 hours if they wanted their insurance company to pay the bill under a proposed change in Florida's mandatory auto insurance laws being pushed by House Republicans. ....The House bill calls for $15,000 of medical coverage but directs victims to hospital emergency rooms for care. It also mandates they get any follow-up care from a hospital. Why can't they go to their family doctor? Evidently, they have a problem with crooked medical clinics a la Dr. Nick down there. Their money and effort would be better spent, however, clamping down on the fraudulent clinics. posted by Sydney on 4/27/2007 08:26:00 PM 1 comments 1 Comments:Every time our "leaders" have an idea, some problem gets worse. And, as this legislation shows, state politicians are no less prone to brain flatulence than their counterparts in Washington. By 12:28 AM , at |
