The tab for Harry's surgery, just under $4,000, covers a lot of territory, including the initial and follow-up exams, pretesting, retina testing, IV catheters, monitoring, the labors of both ophthalmologists and technicians, medications and anesthesia....
To compare, my son's cataract surgery in the same corner of Ohio (which was more complicated than the average cataract surgery because he also had a damaged iris) came in at $3,000. But, when you're selling luxury animal medicine, you can charge more. posted by Sydney on
