Eczema Genetics: Researchers think they have found the eczema gene:
According to researchers at the University of Dundee, the gene is the one whose job it is to create the protein filaggrin, which is normally found in the outermost layers of the skin. The protein is vital to ensure that the skin forms a barrier to keep water in and foreign organisms out.
I have ezcema extremely bad on my feet only. I can't walk unless I superglue the cuts shut. I've been doing that for about 3yrs. The glue seems to be irritating my skin lately. I've been taking Carmol 40 which is a skin softener and Protopic (an ointment). They no longer seem to be affective. I'm in alot of pain and now pray for healing.
